Our Alabama Notary Services division can assist you with your Alabama document authentication, certification, attestation, or apostille. We have more than twenty years of experience in this industry and have successfully completed this service for many clients.
Your document/s will be verified and examined by us. We will certify that the document is the original or a copy of the original. Special notary wording will be placed on the documents, and the document/s will be sealed/notarized. The second process, we will forward your documents to the Alabama Secretary of State office for our notary verification. On approval from the Secretary of State, they will affix the Apostille certificate to our notarized document and this document will be attached to your document/s.
The Authentication Division of the Alabama Office of the Secretary of State is responsible for providing authentication services for Alabama documents that will be used in foreign countries. These documents include birth certificates, marriage certificates, statements of marital status, articles of incorporation, corporate bylaws, certificates of merger, powers of attorney, diplomas, school transcripts, deeds and ABI background checks.
There are two types of authentications. The type of authentication your document requires for foreign use is based upon the country in which the document will be used. If the country in which the documents will be used is party to the Hague Convention, an "Apostille" is affixed to document/s.
If the country in which the document/s are to be used is not part of the Hague Convention, a "Certification" is affixed to documents. Please note that there is a difference between Members of the Hague Conference and Parties to the Hague Convention.
